It is so commonplace to hear women degrade other women just because they are women. I can not count the number of times I've heard women say that they'd rather befriend a man rather than a woman. This article wouldn't need to be written if there was truth, and clarity in those voices of discrimination being echoed across the country by women against other women. From a psychological and spiritual perspective I can understand why it is happening. But there is no justification in prejudging another human being just because you haven't resolved your own issues.

Our society has become sensitive to the struggles of different minorities. We hold hands and sing songs of unity and hope when it comes to overcoming racism. We march in support of those dying from life threatening diseases and we volunteer our time, and sometimes lives, to make sure our brothers or sisters in other countries have adequate shelter, food, water, and health care.

Still, there is an insidious cancer that has been infecting the minds of ordinary people for a very long time. It's a mindset that not only diminishes the credibility and importance of its victim but at the same time will convince the victim to spread the poison.

Hating women, as well as gays, is still very much alive. The former, we don't talk about and the latter, we stand on street corners expressing our reasons of justification. Are You Ready Now For a Relationship?

Spring: Everything seems alive and vibrant-- flowers are definitely more colourful, the air has a heady smell, the weather is story-book perfect and there is an unmistakable increase in libido in the singles crowd. Everyone seems to want to date more in the spring, and this is often the time when people find new love. Whether it's the warm weather or the new smells, a lot of people can't help but dance through puddles and sing in the rain in utter bliss. Some would even start to contemplate whether they are ready for a relationship or not. In matters of dating and relationships, there are a lot of different levels that a single person may be on.

This would often affect a single's readiness for a relationship. For instance, some people who have been serial daters for years may refuse to enter a real relationship because they fear rejection, or maybe because they just love being single and avoid the drama and pain. On the other hand, those who have been searching for a partner a little too hard end up driving away prospective mates because of the instant cling action that can be a major turn off. Some singles have recently survived a breakup and are on a rebound. Others still are just plain contented in singlehood but will happily test new waters if only their dream partner would show up one day soon.

And then of course there are those who've had their fill of parties, clubbing and flings for the past few years. they realize that their skin is getting more wrinkly and the youthful looks are starting to fade, so they might as well start a next chapter of their life, try to get married and have kids before their biological clock stops ticking. A person who is ready for a relationship must without doubt be in the right frame of mind and in the right part of life. Although there are no strict rules about age, one must at least be old enough and mature enough for a relationship.

One should also have a high self-esteem, and should not make the relationship as a reason to feel better about one's self. The ability to take care of oneself emotionally and financially is also vital-an individual must at least be able to take care of his/her needs instead of depending on the partner to take care of it. One must likewise let go of past traumas and hurt first, and should only commit if truly in love. Did you meet all of the requirements mentioned? If not, do a little work in enhancing yourself before paying attention to someone else and trying to be ready for a relationship.

And if you already have what it takes for a committed relationship, don't get too excited because there are even more things that you must think about. For example, is it worth entering one right now?Does he feel the same way as you do? Are you willing to work on nurturing the relationship? These are all very important factors to consider and take a while to get used to. If neither of you are willing to sacrifice nor compromise for the sake of the relationship, then it will never work out no matter how perfectly ready you both are.

This article is more just a collection of thoughts I've had on the subject of love. I'm hoping it will open up some avenues of thought, rather than give you a definite direction, or definite set of tools to try out. So here goes!

Love is in the air. For some.
For others, it simply isn't.

Love is that illusive feeling that we all want, that we all seek (whether we admit to it or not)
Some of us are weary from loving. Some of us have been hurt, and have retracted into ourselves, trying to pretend we don't want it or need it. Some of us are so happy in love, it makes others weep for love lost, or never felt.

Love is all around us. In words, in songs, in novels, in films, in TV ads.
There are self-help books to help us find love, keep love, even end love. You can't escape it, it is everywhere. Love makes the world go round. Or sends our world crashing to a standstill, with us in a heap on the floor, crying, angry and in pain.

Whether you are in a relationship, not in one, or just out of one, I want you to examine your past loves, your past losses. What were the similarities, what were the differences between these relationships? More importantly, and as I'll explain further on, who were YOU in each relationship?

I have worked with clients to help them get over past relationships and the negative effects of them. I have also helped clients resolve difficulties in existing relationships.

I ask clients to examine what qualities they would like their ideal partner to have, and what qualities they themselves bring to a relationship.

I do this because if you don't know what you are looking for, how can you find it?
It is important to realise what qualities you want a partner to have.

Fun?
Generous?
Humorous?
Romantic?
Responsible?
Caring? etc etc etc.

And it is good to realise what you bring to a relationship, what you have to offer.

And then one day it struck me, and maybe I was just being slow on the uptake. But I got to thinking, not about the qualities a person should look for in another. But a person seeking love (or a person nurturing an existing relationship) would be more empowered if they thought about how exactly they want to feel when with their partner.

Now as I said, maybe I'm slow on the uptake and everyone thinks like this. But I don't think so. I think we concern ourselves with qualities, maybe even check-lists of qualities, that we neglect to examine how exactly we want to feel.

Your partner provides you with financial security, but makes comments in front of your friends that leaves you feeling embarrassed. Your partner is kind and caring, but you feel empty in their company, feeling like there should be more to love. You want to try new things, go different places, but your partner does the same things over and over, never leaving their comfort zone. You experience feelings of suffocation and boredom.

These are just examples of difficulties and challenges in any relationship. And every relationship has difficulties, and the need for compromise. The problems arise when all you have and all you experience is compromise, putting your needs aside, not living the life you want. Not feeling how you want to feel.

When I say how to feel, I also mean, what is your true expression of self, and feeling comfortable to express that.

So if you are single, or in a relationship, take some time to think about how exactly you want to feel in the presence of a lover. This is important, because I believe that with a partner, it is important for you to feel comfortable in expressing all aspects of yourself, even the contradictory aspects - strong and weak, sexy and slovenly, energetic and lazy, clever and silly, humorous and cross.

What are your different sides? Who are you? What makes you happy, what makes you sad? What makes you feel alive? What gets you jumping out of bed in the morning?

What gets you jumping into bed? What needs, desires, and wishes do you want a / your relationship to fulfill?

Think back to your different past relationships. Were you the same person in each relationship? Was your character the same with each partner? Were you more outgoing with Joe than with Jack? Did you feel sexier with Dave than with Ben? Were you in awe of Claire, and more bossy with Sue?

Did you (without realising) adjust, change, modify, hide or exaggerate different aspects of your personality to suit your current partner?

When I think back over my own relationships I can see how I was different with each partner. It's only natural. Think of your friendships. I bet you have different friendships with different people. I bet you are slightly different with each one?

The question is to discover for yourself what aspect, what side of yourself you are most comfortable/ strong / happy with.

We all have many sides to us, for we all have different moods and emotions. When you want to attract the partner into your life that you want, or want to nurture your current relationship, think about what emotions you want to feel, and what aspects of yourself you want to share.

If you are currently in a relationship, what aspects of yourself do you want to share more of? How can you do this? What activities, what conversations, what declarations do you need to make to feel true to yourself and find happiness?

Apart from a breakdown in communication, some relationships experience difficulty because people allow themselves to feel stifled, and not show all aspects of their personality, for fear their lover will reject them.

People change over time due to different circumstances and experiences. Our personalities can change too. What happens when you are in a relationship and this happens? If you already don't feel comfortable in expressing all aspects of your personality to your partner, you'll find it hard to show these new aspects. So many people put up with situations and relationships that are not healthy or happy.

What emotions do you want to feel on a regular basis? What characters do you have inside that you want to give expression to? When you know that, then you can think about the qualities of a partner who would match those personalities, or be a compliment to them.

So whether you are single or attached, take some time to just examine who you are in a relationship. Who do you want to be in a relationship?

Then you are more likely to either find what you are looking for, or be more happy, or more decided about a current relationship.

If you are in a relationship and you feel you are not sharing all aspects of yourself that you want to share, don't panic. It doesn't mean the relationship is doomed, or wrong. You certainly don't have to end it. Your relationship will already be fulfilling certain needs. If you want to make changes, and start experimenting, a word of caution, please start small! You don't want to scare or overwhelm yourself or your partner!

Once they bond with you will be amazed at how human they are. They will also begin to respect and gravitate to you. You will also find that they will try to compete for your attention and interest. They will seek, sort and search you out. They will naturally begin to care and protect you.

Another word of warning - as you live and dwell among the "enemy" DO NOT loose you feminine essence. This is why they are intrinsically attracted to you. DO NOT become one of them. Do you know the difference between real and fake love? Just like any counterfeit object or characteristic, it can be tricky to know and identify the real from the fake. Sometimes, even experts can't tell what is genuine and what is not.

The fake stuff resembles the real thing in many aspects. The facade can look exactly like the true article. Hollywood sets with their cardboard exteriors are good examples of that. So when it comes to falling in love, if the object of your affection looks good, sounds reasonable, and seems to feel the same way you do, you may not get it that he or she is not what you think they are.

What are the defining characteristics that can signal to you what is real and what is fake? What are the warning signs you need to heed?

4. The Future

When two people meet and fall into chemistry, they may begin to plan their future together within weeks. Their "real" selves are not talking to each other here - it's their spiced, fried, scrambled brain that can't be trusted to make clear decisions.

What does REAL love look like? It is able to get past the chemistry phase and into real time. Fake love involves conflict, drama, and pain, once the chemistry wears off. Real love evolves into service, thought, care, and sincere emotions for the other. Real love is shown in loving acts - over and over - with no one keeping score. Real love responds to the needs of the other, flowing effortlessly from one day to the next.

Manchester Restaurants have a certain special place in my heart. The city of Manchester is one of the busiest cities in the world and there are a lot of people that need some thing to eat. Therefore there are restaurants, bars and other hospitality services aplenty so whatever takes your fancy you will be able to find it in Manchester.

Stresa is part of the Ramada hotel that can be found in the Salford Quays area. The restaurant has a contemporary feel with light and comfortable surroundings. I remember visiting this restaurant when I was on a business trip in the area. I had arranged the business dinner to meet with a marketing consultant and the impression the restaurant gave was great and then the food arrived. My marketing friend had said that marketing this place to the public would be easy, as we had both been sold by our starters and the selection of fine wines. Stresa is an Italian restaurant that sources a lot of ingredients from the Lancashire area to make sure that the ingredients you get on your plate are fresh and tasty.

Having always been a fan of seafood and sushi I was delighted when I stepped into the New Samsi Manchester restaurant. It is a Japanese restaurant that has been featured on Channel 4 and has been called the best place for Japanese food in the North West. New Samsi is a restaurant that has to be experienced.

Cruise Ship Reviews - Review of the Carnival Fantasy

The Carnival Fantasy is one of the older ships in the Carnival fleet. It was taken out of service some time ago and completely retro-fitted to offer the same amenities as the newer, grander Carnival ships.

During the retro-fit, they added Serenity, an adults-only retreat, a water slide for the whole family, as well as having added high-definition televisions to her completely refurbished suites. At 70,000 gross tons, the ship may be a little older but it is certainly large enough to carry it 2056 passengers in spacious comfort. She also has all of the comforts that you have come to expect of the entire fleet of Carnival ships such as Camp Carnival, its "fun-ified" retreat for cruisers age 2-11.

However, unlike most ships, all the ships amenities are within a few floors of each other. Instead of the Promenade deck being near the bottom of the ship, and the Lido deck being on the top, all the fun and food are clustered on a few of the top floors. The benefit of this is the close proximity of the buffet and the Broadway-style shows, the Casino among other things, all without having to spend a great deal of time travelling between floors.

The dining room is nicer than average for a Carnival ship. One might expect, as most of the fleet is, that "funship" means less elegant. This is usually the case but not on board the Fantasy. The dining room is as elegant and formal as the nicest Holland America ships that I have sailed on. As always, Carnival is more fun than any other cruise line.

When I cruise, I really enjoy everything it has to offer. From the first-class Broadway style shows to the five-star gourmet cuisine.

The problem is I'm not always aware of those limiting beliefs. But once I'm able to see my "blind spots" of where I'm keeping myself stuck, I can start to change. From then on, when I feel the fear, I know it's just old limiting beliefs and I can work through them one by one to let them go.

If we never try, we never fail... but we also never succeed.

I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed, isolated, and frustrated because of my fears holding me back.

But now, when I'm faced with a challenge, I ask myself...

What would I do if I wasn't afraid...?

Answer that question with whatever comes into your mind and see where it takes you, just let it flow.

I think it's pretty close to a perfect love. We have established trust with our best friends over time. We share a lot of the same views with them; and we realize at the same time that they don't think exactly the way we do about everything... and that's okay. Kinda like an unconditional love.

If we all treated each other like we treat our best friends, life would be a better... more loving place. I believe people are basically good, they may be selfish at times, and therefore do bad things. But if we realize that people are basically good and loving, and try to trust that they are trying... well... It´s been my experience that people react to you how you react to them.
